Description
Reporting to the General Manager, the main responsibilities are:
* Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements to ensure the company's interests are protected.
* Provide legal advice on a variety of matters related to contracts of services and suppliers including EPC, underground equipment service contracts among others.
* Ensure compliance with local and international legal regulations and standards.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide legal guidance.
* Manage legal disputes and liaise with external legal counsel when necessary.
* Conduct risk assessments and provide solutions to mitigate potential legal risks on contracts.
* Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations impacting the industry.
Profile
A successful Contract Senior Lawyer should have:
* A degree in Law with a license to practice in Chile.
* Proven experience in legal roles, ideally within infrastructure/construction, mining or energy industry.
* Strong knowledge of Chilean and international legal frameworks.
* Excellent contract negotiation and drafting skills.
* Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide clear advice.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills in english ans spanish.
* Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
* Availabilty to travel within Chile on demand.
