EHS Engineer Solar

We are looking for an experienced EHS Engineer to support Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) management across solar and energy projects. The role involves working closely with project teams, subcontractors, and customers to ensure full compliance with health & safety standards and local regulations across multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide EHS support, guidance, and technical advice across solar, PV, BESS, and energy projects under execution.

• Implement and monitor the EHS strategy, including project EHS planning, audits, and customer communication.

• Conduct EHS audits, inspections, and safety controls across construction projects.

• Drive incident reduction initiatives and lead incident investigations, delivering detailed reports to management and customers.

• Ensure compliance with BS OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001, and local legal requirements, including surveillance audits follow-up.

• Review and approve risk assessments, method statements, lifting plans, and construction phase plans prior to construction activities.

• Deliver EHS training programs (IOSH, H&S awareness, and related courses).

• Participate in safety meetings and support the ongoing development of health & safety representatives.

• Work closely with project managers to provide EHS technical solutions and risk mitigation strategies.

Requirements:

• Degree, diploma, or certification in EHS / Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent.

• Minimum 3 years of experience as an EHS Engineer in project-based organizations.

• Experience in solar PV projects, BESS, or energy-related fields.

• Proven experience delivering EHS training programs.

• Strong knowledge of BS OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 management systems.

• Solid understanding of construction, mechanical and electrical works, and PV park operations.

• Excellent communication, reporting, and presentation skills.

• Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

• Team management skills and flexibility to travel as required.

• Fluent English (spoken and written) is mandatory
