Position Overview

The Educational Advisor provides information, guidance, and orientation to students and the general public regarding undergraduate and graduate programs offered by accredited higher education institutions in the United States.

Key Responsibilities

Advise students and the general public on the U.S. university experience, including admissions processes, financial aid, intercultural considerations, logistics, and academic pathways.
Plan and manage outreach, dissemination, and informational activities aimed at prospective students and the broader community.
Define work objectives and priorities effectively to meet established deadlines, ensuring proper follow-up and verification of information.
Act in accordance with and actively promote the values and principles established by the University.
Coordinate closely with professionals from different university units, particularly with the Vice Rectorate for International Affairs.

Perfil deseado

Requirements

Bachelor s degree or equivalent professional qualification.
Postgraduate studies or advanced certifications are desirable.
Advanced proficiency in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.

Experience

Experience advising or teaching students and professionals.
Experience organizing events, workshops, or outreach activities.
Experience managing social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) and mass mailing tools.

Competencies

Solid knowledge of the U.S. and Chilean higher education systems.
Strong writing skills, with experience in developing communication materials and reports.
Excellent interpersonal skills, critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
